Piaggio 125 Top Speed Desember 03, 2021 Add Comment Edit Piaggio 125 Top Speed Hello people. Ok my Piaggio X9 125 top speed in the manual is 64mph factory stated top speed, and on my GPS sat-nav and the bikes speed-o its 64mph. Now what can be done to get it to do 70mph, it will do 70mph when i been down a slight incline hill, but i am hoping to get to do around the 70mph mark on the flat. Now it is a 15BHP 125cc 4 stroke engine and this maxi-scooter does weight in at 170kg but i am sure it can do faster on the flat, i have tried different rollers but to no avail still tops 64mph on the dot. Thanks people Get a performance exhaust, primary and secondary gear up kit and play with the jetting. will be doing more than 70mph then Hi there, thanks for the reply, i got a performance exhaust on already, a Leo-vince sports type. got one question i thought the gear up kits were for only of you added a aftermarket big bore kit ?? Usually standard engines can't pull gear up kits, not sure about yours though. its got more power there but for 15bhp engine its slow. just strange how it does Bang on the Factory book speed, surely it must do more. MARSH Whooooo! Messages: 2,985 Rides: Piaggio Typhoon It could be hitting the rev limiter, Malossi do an after market cdi for the x9, £140 from ve-uk. It's worth a try! Thanks i have seen the Malossi CDi but not heard of any feed back from people who have tryed it to see if its worth it ..... but its a try U could always get a malossi cylinder kit...expensive tho eh... sounds like its a rev restrictor a lot of the bikes cumming from china dont have a variator washer anymore its all done with rev restrictors my mate has a pulse scout that would do spot on 29mph on the flat and 30mph down hill with speedo and iphone gps but it had more power left a quick google search found a pink wire from the cdi needed disconecting now it happily hits 45mph on the flat yeah the leader engines have a restricted cdi im pretty sure. i had a mallossi varaitor and torsion spring on my vx, i once hit 90 clock speed. would do 70+ no problem I manage to sell this bike, it was a jetting issue i found out in the end, Share This Page Piaggio 125 Top Speed Source: https://www.scootershack.co.uk/threads/piaggio-x9-125-top-speed.29194/ SHARE SHARE SHARE
